VISION BOARD WORKSHOP
1 Day Workshop in Northern Michigan
DECEMBER
"A treasure map is an actual, physical picture of your desired reality. Basically the treasure map should show you in your ideal scene, with your goal fully realized."
- Shakti Gawain, Creative Visualization
While Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore draws large crowds in the summer, it is tranquil and quiet in the winter.
From Grawn, the drive to the National Lakeshore will take you around 40 minutes. Showshoeing is permitted on all snow-covered dunes, fields and forests in the Lakeshore during the winter season. Guided Snowshoe Hikes with a National Park Ranger are also available. Other available winter activities include cross country skiing, sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and camping (yes, even in the winter!) Visit the Visitor Center in Empire, MI or the National Park Website to plan your trip. Note: There are fees to enter the park if you don't have a National Park Pass. More details here. |
Along the Lake Michigan shoreline near the small, quiet town of Frankfort, the Point Bensie Lighthouse offers an escape to a peaceful beach filled with differently colored pebbles. The lighthouse opens at the end of May.
Please check with the National Lakeshore about rules and regulations before taking any rocks or pebbles without permission. |
Tucked away and built almost within the ground and surrounding landscape in Benzonia, MI, shopping Gwen Frostic is a must-do. Every time I stop, I stock up on her prints for year-round cards, Christmas gifts and more. They are relatively inexpensive and its peaceful to wonder the grounds and look down into the workshop where everything is printed.
